BIOGRAPHY

Designer Katherine Biscardi is known for her ability to combine fabrics, colors, textures and elements turning them into elegant and timelessinteriors.

Katherine’s academic training is in the arts, both fashion design and fine arts. Her career began in Manhattan on Seventh Avenue and Madison Avenue working for people with sophisticated knowledge and the utmost discriminating taste. Her atalier in Miami created exquisite couture gowns and ensembles for the Miami elite. Saks Bal Harbour created a special department for her couture childrens line.

 Her true instruction came from working with and for renowned designers in Milan, Paris, New York  and Miami.

Utilizing her expertise in design, fabric, color and construction, she broadened her focus to the home décor market in 1999. Since then, the firm has specialized in all aspects of interior design .  Katherine is involved, hands on, from fabric & color selections, design, workroom supervision and installation. Her expertise ranges from design conception to complete construction and remodeling to the finishing touches  .

She is not drawn to a trend or period and places her emphasis on the quality of design, functionality and overall balance of the interior.

One of the most challenging projects was the grand-scaled renovation of the major public spaces of the legendary Turnberry Towers condominium in Aventura.  Incorporating the main lobby, elevator lobby, concierge area, circular boardroom, two social rooms, and 28 residential corridors, the extensive renovation reflects the first major updating of the spaces to the then 34-year-old, 30-story luxury condominium.  She was required to retain the existing cognac-toned wood paneling that sheathed the walls of the concierge and elevator areas abutting the lobby. The design concept was designed around those existing elements.
